Some STATter 911 fans pointed out how some enthusiastic fans of a certain ball team in Philadelphia interacted with their local firefighters. Parts 1,2 and 3 from top to bottom.
This is Philadelphia’s Ladder Tower 5, one of the city’s newest fire trucks. The report is they were responding to a call (there were fires set during the “celebration”).

a good soild brake check might have been in order
I hope that this wasnt supported by the firefighters on the truck, and i agree brake check the drunks
Set it up and see if they can hold on.
This is why philly deserves nothing.
Why would they respond through that area. Surely there was another way.
Engine 1 Ladder 5 and Battalion 1 Located right on Broad Street. No other way out of their house except in to the crowd. I was listening to the audio of the and trust me the crew was not supporting this. The Battalions buggy ended up with the rear window broken out. Not the only incident with fire trucks that night. E-49(first due to the stadium complex) was rocked as they tried to extingush a rubish fire in the parking lot outside of the stadium. Also heard that an Engine company opened a handline on a crowd to protect there truck but not sure if thats true. Definitly a chaotic night to say the least!!
"This is why Philly deserves nothing". Hmmm!!! If my memory serves me correctly, Philadelphia is not the only city where this behavior takes place after a team wins a World Championship. Some were worse than what took place in Philly after the game. Here are a few links for you to look at.

So, in a broader spectrum, Maybe no city deserves a Championship. It's not just a philly thing.
But philly is a waste land.
The only good thing they have are cheese steaks.
too bad they dont make an automatic catapult switch. 100 drunks flying 60ft into the air. And were worried about terrorist.
Philly fans suck.
I would have thought the City of Philadelphia, including the fire department, would have had plans in place for this type of civil disobedience. Unfortunately, it has become a common theme surrounding sporting events.
At least these fans were "friendly". Wait until something happens in society that causes riots similar to those in the late 60's, in which the participants are not in a celebratory mood. These firefighters could have found themselves in a life threatening situation.
Should serve as a warning to all major municipalities to pre-plan for these events.
