Three people were seriously hurt after a crash involving Rescue Squad 1 at 14th Street and Constitution Ave in Northwest Washington.

DC Fire & EMS Department spokesman Pete Piringer says the crew was responding to a report of a fire at a library at George Washington University when it was involved in a crash with two other vehicles around 7:30 AM today. Three people in the two cars were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. No firefighters were hurt.

The fire at the library ended up being a small fire in the heating and air conditioning system. Piringer says it was quickly contained.

Well we’ve all learned at least 1 thing this week…

It’s a good thing this was a DC Fire rig involved in this accident because that way there won’t be any patients involved or possibly injured SINCE THEY DON’T TRANSPORT ANYBODY!!!

Annonymous is a wimp who probably gets sand kicked in his face in the kiddie sandbox, so he comes on here with his keyboard muscles.

Sincerely, would you grow up or go back to your date on the porn sites where you have to pay to talk to her or maybe even him.

At least it was DC FIRE FIGHTERS on scene and NOT DC EMS. I`m pretty sure this incident was written up as it should have been. I`m EMS not fire and NO I`m not in DC. Saying that, I`m ashamed of the DC EMS actions with the baby last week. At least the DC FF`s are professionals, not unlike their EMS brethern. Im` sure the FF`s did their job as they always have done. Did you listen to the radio traffic? Talk about a professional! Calm, cool, collected even in that mess! They got the damned job done.

Anonymous just wants to stir the pot. My guess he is a wanna-be. Just another example of an uneducated person who thinks one person’s actions is the everyday norm. You couldn’t make in the DCFD dude!

Did everyone end up ok? It looks like a significant impact. Hopefully, everyone in the car and rig ended up all right.

Great job to the officer who was riding the seat on squad 1. He remained calm and cool, and even after they were in a bad accident like that they still used their own tools and personell to cut the other people out of the vehicle. Once again good job to the whole crew on squad 1. Also to anonymous grow up. You probably are a wanna be firefighter who couldn’t cut it. Also be a man or woman and stand up and sign your name, don’t hide behind your computer.
