This incident occurred in Hualien City, Taiwan early on Saturday. After the initial explosion the woman who lives in the home comes down to investigate and is standing nearby when a second explosion happens. The person who posted the video on YouTube wrote that it was ”a bit strange that neither the neighbors nor even the policemen went over to tend to the stunned and injured woman but just watched the fire.”
This is another good catch by Firefighter Spot.

Wow did you notice that utility guy arriving? Too bad we cant get OUR utility workers to arrive on scene so fast! Wonder what she had stored in that car port that kept popping and exploding? Spray cans maybe?
57 seconds from maxi brake to water on the fire. Not too shabby, not too shabby at all.
12-minute response time, not counting 911 delay (actually, 1-1-9 in Taiwan). It’s probably safe to assume that an apparently affluent neighborhood like that had no telecommunications issues to slow further slow things down.
The FF masking-up for the 2nd floor attack line seemed slow, but the time it took for the other FF to get the ladder down from the roof was really absurd (not clear if that was a human delay or poor apparatus spec).
Sign that lady up…..with as many times as she went in and out, on top of the brief explosion, she aint scurd of fire…Just wondering where the fellas were coming from…from the elapsed time, seems like they were coming from Ho Chi Minh City……Love the community involvement as well.who needs PPE…you have people in shorts, safety vests and no shirts DOIN IT….Hats off to those brave warriors….
correction…no safety vests…
Without knowing how far away the fire station is or if they are f/t or vols then it’s not fair to comment on response time. Seemed about average to me, and a lot faster than some US departments.
The time from on scene to water flowing was really good. It’s good to see members moving with purpose instead of dragging their feet and wandering around in a state of bewilderment.
That’s 57 seconds from park to water, with the hoses and nozzles stored separately. Crosslays, what crosslays??
Quick, aggressive attack even with limited manpower at the outset. Sign them up!
