Lieutenant Steven Velazquez and Firefighter Michael Baik demonstrated the finest quality of what the real well Trained Firefighter puts forth each day/night upon carrying out their duty. It is a tragedy for the loss of these two good and decent men. Both of these Professionals knew their job, and they did it well. Lt.Velazquez and FF Baik did what the Firefighter Safety Values promotes to the Fire and EMS Service. They went inside together, and they stayed together.
Lt.Velazquez gained some previous Professional insight with PGFD as a Career Firefighter. These two Valiant Public Servants
will always be in our Hearts. Let's all take a step back and say a Prayer for the Souls of our lost Brothers. Everyone in the Fire and EMS Service should look into the Mirror and Thank the Good Lord that you are still able to carry out your Fire and EMS Job duties and always maintain a good Positive responsible attitude towards yourself, your fellow Brothers and Sisters in the Public Safety Concept of Professional Customer Service. Let us keep the Loved Ones left behind by the
Supreme Sacrifice these fine men gave of themselves in our Daily Prayers and Thoughts. Lieutenant Steve Velazquez, and Firefighter Michael Baik Good Lord Rest your Souls.

I Salute You

This should have been front page news. Forever RIP brave souls.

My ex-husband is a Lt. for the Bridgeport FD. Our sons (14, 12, 9) love their Dad and are always so proud of him...I pray they never have to endure this kind of tragedy.

My condolences to the families of these two men...may peace find you in this time of sorrow...and may angels watch over our courageous men & women in Blue.

SHANTI (peace)
