Huge line of Storms had just rolled through the area. Many power lines down, tress down, lightning calls etc. and a collapse of a wall in a large commercial building. The Slime yellow rig first arrival is Hillsborough County FR. The red rigs are Tampa FD. The area is called New Tampa. Northeast of downtown. Not making excuses for operations, but every station for 20 miles was out of the house on calls.

slow as they may be but NO one seemed to notice the lack of fire surpression from the stations own system. Every major station with a canopy has to have one by law but this one never was used. Guess the attendent did now what the Big Red Botton on the wall labeled fire surpression was for or ment.

Typical Florida operation. The Tampa FD is no better than Hillsboro County. No emphasis on how to operate in the proper manner.

5 minutes of video elapsed before the first engine from Hillsboro County arrived and then an additional 2:45 before that engine started to apply water to the fire. Not a great show for the taxpayers who were standing there waiting for the crew to arrive and take action ...
