While the date and time embedded on the video say something different, the description with the clip says this fire occurred Saturday in Allen, Michigan. The fire was at 9011 W. Chicago Road inside a restaurant and antiques store. The video is from the Quincy Fire Department.

Put this one in your bag of tricks. Once the ceiling was opened up by the Truck man , Put and extension pipe and a revolving distributor on your cut off. OLD SCHOOL stuff
Good Video.
Everyone had the proper PPE.
Saw no freelancing.
Thought they had the fire under control at first.
Once it got in that ceiling though it walked all over the place on em.
When they saw the fire walking on em above them the repositioned, pulled hose back with them to allow for good movement, when they hooked the ceiling they already had the handline in position.
Good work brothers, shame about the building.
Shame about the
Great Video, I am going to get me one of these head CAMS! This way – when I show up, I can stand around filming, instead of picking up a friking hook and helping out.Or grabbing another cross lay and help them – puttin some water in that cieling. I have seen this to many times, not enough pulled and one hose line, maybe two, pushing fire all over the place, but not putting it out. How about more people, more hooks, or maybe getting atop some furniture and getting the line up in there, YOU people would never make it in a BIG TOWNSHIP Fire Department. Carry on & Best Regards Amy
Shoulda upgraded to a 2 1/2″ or another hand line. Might’ve made a difference, maybe not. Good use of PPE.
Oh Amy You salty old dog you. I bet you overcooked your leather in the gas grill too!
Nothing like fighting the red devil in a big township.
OOOOh I got goosebumps.
To give you a perspective on the interior of this building, The ceiling was tongue and groove knotty pine that was screwed not nailed which was very difficult to pull, also the fire had been dancing in the attic area for awhile, what you dont see in the video is another dept is stretching on the back side of the building,I think its unfortunate not seeing everything to be so critical, we had roof collapse in the majority of the building, yeah maybe an additional handline or a 2 1/2 looking at it now maybe would have helped some but thats why we train and thats why we will use this camera to learn from it. the guy with the camera was the door man, he was doing exactly what he was supposed to do. Good Job Allen and Good Job Quincy.
