A fire first reported around 11:00 PM last night destroyed Taylor Ace Hardware in Cowarts, Alabama. Ammunition and chlorine in the building caused concerns for firefighters and the sheriff's deputies who arrived first on the scene. Reports indicate some nearby homes were evacuated. For a minute there (from 2:45 to 3:45), I had a strange hankering for some Jiffy Pop…
I bought a swing the last day before the fire. Tony Taylor was nice enough to put it in his truck and personally deliver it to my house. That’s the type of person he is. I know that all the other swings left in the store are gone so from now on I will always call it “my lucky swing” and I know it will always be something I will enjoy. Angie Marshall
