So I didn't get to see the end of the video. Did the interior team end up coming out and beating the sh!t out of the street sprayers who were trying to kill them?
Best line of the year!!! Thinkin the same thing.
Listen to the beginning audio and you will hear the incident commander coordinating the hose streams with the interior crews.
A well placed vent hole in the roof would have made life alot easier on the interior crew, and possibly a much quicker knock. Put that stick on the roof, and do some work! It also may have prevented the top floor from flashing over.
Oh ok…. so does that mean they kicked the Incident Commanders a$$ too, then?
Textbook example of screaming the fire out. Well done!
If I was on the interior crew, I would have been VERY concerned with that guy moving the ladder pipe around outside. That might have been a good time for a perfectly aimed "hydraulic ventilation" stream. "Hey, we're in here!!"
The Chief must be elected on how many friends he has in the dept instead of what he doesn't know.
PD on scene first, and homeowner had already stated the fire had made it to the third floor where he had tried to put it out. Building had a Relatively Flat Roof, which was Spongy when crews got there. The top of the front 3rd floor windows were even with the top of roof in the back. By Taking them, you essentially had created ventilation at the next best highest point, Which was also where the bulk of the fire was, in the A/B corner. And as stated by "Was there" command does confirm with interior officer if that there are no crews in the area of division 3 A/B corner before hitting the fire.
Did anyone get hurt? were any members of the inside team injured? Did the I.C. coordinate the fire extiguishment? Why would anyone want to kick someone but if the fire went out and everyone went home?
If you don’t get it, you don’t get it. Do what you want, but I ain’t hosing down interior crews. If you think its ok… well, I just won’t be volunteering in Minersvile
ok as member of the crew in div 3 a/b corner, which there was a wall between the hose line crew and that room at the time, and hydrzaulic ventilation was taking place out the b side window(which isnt seen by the camara angle), the interior crew was safe and was never in any more danger, once the fire was knocked down from the outside the interior crew breached the wall and finished with extinguishing and overhaul. No members of our crew were hurt and we believe and trust our chief! i am an asst chief of a community right out side of minersville, however i responded with them that day. So… before u want to bash someone for what u think they did wrong, live through it and see it though our eyes! we made a great hit that was well organized that you dont understand! And i believe in everyone on my crew and the chief with my life! so if u have a question ask it< before u jump and want to say something about something you dont have clue what was taking place!
