Morons in action WITH a YouTube video..!!!
Oh yeah, these folks will fit right in to the “new” FS.!!
On a break, a fellow student attempting to take a short nap.
Or was she sick.??
I know, let's drop her to the floor.
She will not be injured or embarrassed.
No lawsuit pending here…..
Sent these two punks to the Parks Division and teach them to pick-up dog poop.!!
Not a good move…… wet sponge on the lap or something like that…. this could be an injury…… lawsuit….. come on man….. Strike the box! K
I was thinking maybe anyone sleeping during FF academy should be ejected from class. Confirmed by his "I ain't playin' like that".
Wow….lawsuits? Injuries? Who cares if he's embaressed! He shouldn't be for sleeping in fire school when he should have been studying, he should be embaressed! Those fellows obviously have practiced their knots, understand teamwork, and undestand the importance of good timing because without it that execution could have been poor and no where near as funny.
Lawsuit? Really FireGears and Scooter? I take it that you two would have sued everyone involved including the cameraman, the girl sitting there watching, the city, state, and county where it took place in.
Lawsuits…everybody wants to turn the quick buck. Give me a break. That's why the fire service is heading the way it is, too much worry about the ramifications of what we do, rather than just getting the job done. Sleep in class get thrown out, enough said. If you can't stay awake and interested long enough, then go back to the fast food joint and clean toilets the fire service has enough bums!
BTW, although good teamwork and fire skills are prevalent, risk vs gain analysis could use alittle work, no need to hurt anyone to get the point across.
If the class instructor condoned that or allowed it to happen, they should be punished. If he allows a student to sleep during his instruction, then there are other ways of safely dealing with that student's inattention.
As for the practical joker who did it, these are the same folks who do practical jokes in their station that get them posted on this site (and sometimes showing that a "joke" ends up with disciplinary action, civil suits, criminal charges, etc.)
And yes, if the student was injured (physically or even emotionally), they would definitely have a cause of action that could affect the joker, the instructor, the school, the department, etc.
OK, I must be getting old. Are we sure this is a FF1 and FF2 class and not a Junior FF class? In any event, where's the instructor? I hope this wasn't tolerated. First, there is NO SLEEPING in class. I don't care if you're on a break, open the books or practice tieing knots with the ropes appropriately. If you're sick, go home. Course of action, the perpetrators are sent back to their FD's and don't come back until their Chief comes with them. Then, they apologize to the class. If there is no discipline in their FD, then their FD can deal with the consequences later. But there better be discipline in the Academy. WTF?!
I also ask: Where is/was the instructor?
Was the student napping during break? Sick? Worked lengthy hours before class? Up all previous night partying? Habitual sleeper?
Sleepy student could've hit head or neck on the table or floor when the chair was yanked out.
Class looks like it's composed of blobs and slobs.
FireGear is just upset because this student was sleeping through the loaded fire streams portion of the class.
jesus you guys are ridiculous. ITS A PRANK. YOU ALL ARE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE FIRE SERVICE.
Anonymous, if you think this is OK, I don't want to be a part of YOUR fire service, I'll stick to mine.
