Was this considered an arson fire? It looks like there was several apartments "off" at the same time.
How dare you post another video with two firefighters in the bucket .
LOL
I saw those 2 guys in the bucket…hope they had a good view of the fire, cuz they weren't doing anything for a long time.
I have to ask: Is it better to apply heavy outside streams early and flood the floors below, or to wait and apply them when the fire is out of control, thus flooding the floors below? Seriously, I don't have buildings this tall in my jurisdiction, and I really am curious how an officer decides what to do and when.
The two guys in the bucket were coordinating with the brothers on the interior. The bucket would knock the bulk of the fire down, and then the handlines would move in to finish the job. However, with two floors of fire they had their hands full. They battled that way for close to an hour, before the were finally driven out.
Great job by the brothers from Hoboken, Elizabeth and Newark!
Does anyone know what is causing the blue tinged flames around the 3:45 mark? Is it metal burning from the cornice? I've seen white flames before but never something like that, kinda reminds me of a magnesium fire.
I noticed the flame too. I thought maybe it was natural gas line.
That blue flame is actually gas. It took them two hours to shut it down.
