From FirstDuePhotos' Channel on YouTube a bit of a unique view from a four-alarm fire on February 12th in Boston, Massachusetts. Ted Pendergast rolled video with a wide angle lens as he shot still pictures of the fire in a row of businesses at Chestnut Hill Avenue and Embassy Road. The fire was report around 5:40 AM.
From Matt Rocheleau at Boston.com:
The fire is believed to have started inside the pizza restaurant Bocca Buona and spread to the other businesses in the strip: Ora Catering, Village Laundry, and S&K Janitorial Supplies.
MacDonald said firefighters – about 120 responded – used millions of gallons of water, much of which quickly turned to ice on one of this winter’s few frigid days so far. The mercury read 14 degrees when crews responded. It never climbed above the high 20s.
At times, the water pressure waned and pump trucks had to connect to hydrants on side streets.

Very interesting videos. The wide angle lens sure makes for "flexing" of the images. Nice work by Mr. Pendergast.
Wonder if Ladder 26 ever got in operation???
Here we go again, another bunch of vol yard breathers standin around doin nuthin, oh wait, its Boston, they're not vols!
Very nice video! Had to take a Dramamine to get through the whole thing though. Still a little queasy.
Did anyone else catch the banned DCFD shirt ?
Yes I did, but he's in Boston, so no worries. Unless the long arm of "the law" reaches that far.
The Go Pro appears to be an nteresting camera, and it caprures HD well, but unless the photographer remains aware he's shooting with it, the result is shaky and there's no replacement for steady camera work when shooting video.
I love the Gentleman in the video that is wearing a "DCFD" sweatshirt!!!! Awesome!!!
Im gonna have to agree i love the DCFD hoodie.
uh oh, a rogue DCFD sweatshirt is out on the loose! Ellerbe might suspended that guy! Nevermind, he's a buff with a camera. But that won't stop Ellerbe from at last trying.
