Here’s part of the description of this video from the Netherlands on Friday after a man was ordered by a judge to remove a fence (the short version is above and the more than nine-minute version of the confrontation with a lot more video is below):
After a dispute over his fence. He comes outside and tries to set an officer on fire. The police retreated and called in a swat team to clear the house. the man fled the house through the back door.
UPDATE: He was caught the same evening after police fired a warning shot.
A situation “escalated” when council workers arrived to remove the protective fence the man, Gijsbert Rider, 59 had constructed round his house he shares with his wife, Margot Barel, 52, in Haelen in the south of the Netherlands.
He and his family had decided to build the defences because they felt threatened by two residents of a nearby mobile-homes camp.
When council workers tried to demolish the fence yesterday, the man defended his property “like a medieval castle lord” using a bow and arrow and Molotov cocktails.

Sometimes a man has to do what he has to do! I think in the US it might have ended a bit differently. I’d love to see the whole story about how the government decided he couldn’t have a fence and was going to forcibly remove it.
Wow! If that guy was in the US he would have looked like Swiss cheese!
