This disgusts me. I turned it off halfway through.
Wanton disregard for safety. ZERO scene control, especially on side C. Looks like freelancing gone wild. Disregard for property.
This is a bread and butter fire made into a science project.
Cut the head off the snake…
It’s a volunteer fire department. I get it. Not everyone has gear cause they live next door. Firefighters coming from all directions. These things must be hard to control, but the guy with the white helmet should know about ventilation and door control.
They have a lot of money !!!!! More then most of the fd in cheektowaga. All 65 people in the fd have all new gear. So i don’t no why they don’t have it on.
get what you pay for
Nuff said.
Almost as bad as Lehigh Acres and Hillsborough County.
Another pathetic video. Thank goodness all volunteer departments don’t operate like this.
One working fire a year for these vollies and they fumble the ball! It was a nickel’s worth of fire in a doll house; get water on the lazy fire quick and be mopped up in a hour.
Did anybody see that video of the Detroit fire truck with no hose or ladders? I think it might have been used as a squad…..Any thoughts?
Open the roof, pull some ceilings, get some water on the fire.
Was anybody in charge here? Looked like a whole lot of freelancing going on.
I’ll say it again, first in drills make a difference.
I hope the department seen operating here didn’t post this video, it’s nothing to be proud of.
The first guys at the door wasn’t ready to go in until some dude came up and told them to put da mask on and go inside,. This was a bread and butter fire. One line inside knock the sucker down, mop up, ventilate with a ppv, don’t open the roof. Look how they removd the screen in one of the picture. Poor at best. Had it been my home I would told them to get the F off my property, I’ll knock it out with the garden hose.
Please don’t base all your opinions on volunteer companies we are not all like this. This FD had no clue what to do. 9-1 Joe looks lost running around Really how are you a chief !!!! u crest and pine hill did a very good job ready to go with full gear on. I hope Erie county suspense or fines Cleveland hill. They all need to re do firefighter 1.
glad this vid was put online. Great training video for officers to show how u can loose control of the scene when u decide to go to work before establishing a good command. Also for firefighters to realise when u finally get a fire, dont forget training. If u dont have ur gear, u dont belong on scene! This is not a rural area what so ever, other crews were responding so u dont need to be trying to “help out” on the fireground. This type of behavior leads to people getting hurt/burned or worse
thank goodness each dept in Erie Co has 2 tower ladders, a 60 ft Rescue, 8 engines, and 14 staff cars…and each station covering 1 sq mile.
Welcome to the world of Vollie firefighting in NYS…
The Town of Cheektowaga is grossly over staffed with equipment
for a 50 sq area & 10 departments
27 Engines
9 Ladders
6 Heavy Rescues
13 Light Rescues
4 Utility trucks
30 Company Chiefs vehicles
This is more equipment than the entire City of Buffalo uses
