Why are you risking getting killed or seriously injured over that house which was obviously destroyed? Whomever was “in charge” needs to go back for some retraining. Luckily this wasn’t an LODD.

Excellent training video of what NOT to do.

Anyone with basic knowledge of building construction can see on arrival that this house is not salvageable and will need to be torn down. As soon as it was clear that no lives were in danger this should have been a defensive operation.

    Risk nothing to save nothing.

“bmorecareful” gives the impression of a very mature, trained and educated firefighter with decades of service to his/her credit. We can all learn fom this well spoken individual. The future looks to be in good hands were ever this heroic firefighter serves.

I thank you for spreading this important message. Finally someone gets it! When we all realize that our purpose in life is to sacrifice ourselves for a lost cause maybe those simple minded close call sissy’s will go away and hopefully take those job-threatening “everyone goes home” know nothing idiots with them. I say good riddance. Burn units should be our goal. In our world skin grafts and disfigurement are a badge of courage. Nothing wrong with permenant disability either.

Can I join your real man’s club?
