A lesson in quickly handling a boat fire and getting water where it’s needed. I am not sure if this is an old or new video or when or where it was taken. But I had not seen it before. Enjoy.

LOVE IT! That’s genius level improv right there. I’m curious where this happened because the scenery looks very much like many of the created lakes here in Utah.

Quick thinking. Risky coming that close to shore at that speed, but quick thinking.

Good point, but maybe he/she knew the shoreline well. The language sounds like an Australian accent???? I agree – quick thinking. Like another past clip of Dave’s where the man put a living room fire out by blowing snow into it with the snow blower.

Will, you’re probably right. I’m sure he was focused on the fire, but he would have had a bad day if his throttle stuck or steering failed. We would have seen a flying boat. At the end of the day he did a good job, I’m pretty sure I would not have thought of doing that.

Any BRT would have a bad day with a stuck throttle or steering failure, too. Doesn’t stop us, does it?

          Pretty long odds.

But he is messing up the thermal layer and pushing fire to the unburned side of the boat. Oh my god!

Well he was utilizing a two and a half inch motor in his blitz attacks, so it’s ok

Probably got a citation for creating wake too close to the shore.

reminds me of someone I know who operates a septic truck for a living who came home to a fire in his house. Yep he used his truck to put it out.

Looks really dry around the lake. I think perhaps he was thinking of a massive Wildland Fire?
