We have three videos from a fire last night around 7:00 PM at a double home in the 300 block of Anchor Street in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania (Luzerne County). The video above is from the dash-cam of HazletonCityFire and is mostly the early radio traffic during C 3′s response. The video immediately below is from DEPUTYCHIEFJONES, showing early video including wires down in the street creating a hazard. The bottom video was taken later by JC Kriesher (jck5055) at FireandFilm.com.
West Hazleton police Chief Brian Buglio said he arrived within moments of the dispatch and found the front porch of the home in an inferno that engulfed the front of the home.
The fire quickly spread from the porch into the first and second floors of the double home, rapidly consuming the structure.
“The amount of fire load that was on the structure was immense,” West Hazleton Deputy Fire Chief Shawn Evans said.
Assisting West Hazleton police and firefighters at the scene were firefighters from Hazleton, Hazle Township, Harwood, Sugarloaf Township, Valley Regional, Freeland, and a Rapid Intervention Team from the Mahanoy City Fire Department, as well as an American Patient Transport Systems Inc. ambulance.
