This KVAL.com picture from Corvallis, Oregon shows one of the primary means of fire protection in the area. The article didn’t list the local fire companies that responded to an eight-acre grass fire on Sunday and a burning hay truck on Tuesday. It provided information about 14 water trucks responding from 10 different farms to handle the fires.

All were alerted by telephone under the spirit of neighbor helping neighbor. The area is outside of an established fire district, but the article does say members of the Corvallis Fire Department also responded. More details and pictures.
