Loudoun County report out today

At 11:30 AM today the Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management has planned a press conference to release the report into the May 25 fire on Meadowood Court in Leesburg.

Seven fire and EMS personnel were hurt during the blaze. Four were forced to abandon an interior attack because of a rapidly spreading fire. Two of those firefighters, including Lt. John Early who was severely burned, continue to recover from their injuries.

Loudoun officials have told 9NEWS NOW an electronic version of the report is not expected to be available until Monday. Printed copies of the report will be available at the press conference.

An information session for crews on the call will be held before the press conference.

Note: I am not able to attend the press conference, so I likely will have to wait for the electronic version of the report to share the findings. I guess Prince William County started it with the release of the Kyle Wilson report on a Saturday, now everyone thinks the weekend is the way to go. Such is the life of a fire and EMS blogger. Why can’t everyone just plan things around my schedule?
