Video from freshnews1000 of a fire Sunday morning at 325 Forney Avenue in Belmont, North Carolina (Gaston County) that killed a 62-year-old woman.
A 62-year-old woman died in a house fire in Belmont on 325 Forney Avenue early Sunday morning.
Fire officials arrived about 6:50 a.m to find heavy flames in the home.
Chief Gary Jackson at Community Volunteer Fire Department said search and rescue teams found the deceased woman in a front bedroom.
As the fire was being extinguished we received word that a female resident of the home was possibly inside the structure. Search and Rescue Teams quickly located her in a front bedroom.

Firefighters responded to the home of Inez M. Means at 225 Forney Avenue in Belmont around 6:45 a.m. Sunday morning. Means’ neighbor, Katrina Thornburg, said she heard the popping and cracking and went to see what it was.“They put a lot of water on it; it took a good while to get it out,” she said.
Belmont, East Gaston, Mount Holly and Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
