These three videos from Ellen Yan have been on YouTube since shortly after the April 15 fire at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. But judging by the low number of views it appears that, like me, most everyone missed these clips. This is the fire that was originally mentioned as possibly being related to the Boston Marathon bombings because it occurred at about the same time. At :38 in the third video you hear a woman say, “There was an explosion at the Boston Marathon?”

The fire was quickly determined to be unrelated and by the next day there was a statement that the fire was likely being caused by the careless disposal of smoking material.

Thanks to our friend and regular reader Paul Bassett who noticed these videos posted today on the website BostonFireGear.com. Here is some of what the site wrote about the videos:

Companies where initially dispatched to a central station alarm however Fire Alarm “struck the box” while Engine 21 and Ladder 18 were enroute. Responding apparatus included: 3 engines, 2 ladders, 1 tower ladder, District 6, Rescue 2, one RIT engine, one RIT ladder, one RIT chief and the Rehab Unit.
