FOX 5 has learned another D.C. firefighter has been arrested. He is the 14th firefighter charged since October.
27-year-old Marcus Anthony Jackson is accused of setting his car on fire with the intent to defraud his insurance company.
According to court documents, Jackson’s 2006 Dodge Charger was found on fire in Capitol Heights, Md., on January 23.
In an initial interview with authorities, Jackson reported his car was missing on the following day. But phone records revealed that Jackson was in the area 13 minutes before the fire was discovered.
Jackson then later admitted in a follow-up interview that he poured gasoline and ignited his car with a match, according to the court documents.
He has been charged with second-degree arson and malicious burn/fraud.
