Smoke and flames that engulfed the house could be seen for miles. Fire officials said the fire started in the garage and spread quickly to the rest of the home.
“They were huge (flames),” said neighbor Makayla McDonald. “Yellow, the top was orange. Lots, lots of black smoke.”
Chris and Graciela Mason were grilling outside and watching basketball when the fire broke out. Their two children were also home.
Graciela found flames in the family’s garage and called 911. She got her family and their golden retriever out safely.
