CTV Toronto:

Officials say a massive blaze that gutted a historic church in Aurora, Ont., on Friday morning was accidental.

Central York Fire Services say the blaze, which broke out just after 10:30 a.m. Friday morning, was likely caused by roofers working to repair areas of Aurora United Church.

It took 14 fire trucks and about 60 firefighters to put out the blaze.

The church, which was built in 1878, was a beloved cornerstone of the community and a historic landmark.
