Fire engine overturns on icy Missouri road

Several firefighter were injured early Friday morning after a fire truck overturned near St. Clair, Missouri. The accident happened around 7:30a.m. in the 1200 block of Old Cove Road. Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
A St. Clair Fire Protection District pumper truck overturned early Friday while responding to an accident on icy roads northeast of St. Clair. Both firefighters were injured and transferred to a local hospital.
Injuries appear to be minor.
The pumper truck stationed in Lonedell was responding to an accident on Highway AH in the Moselle area at about 7:30 a.m. and was traveling on Old Cove Road when it slid off the pavement while negotiating a curve. The truck overturned.
