UPDATED: About those surveys

UPDATE

We are out of the testing phase and now into the evaluation phase. This means you should no longer see the survey on every post.

Again, taking the survey is about 15 seconds or so and you shouldn’t see it again on that browser for at least two weeks. While I know it’s something you may not like, I would appreciate taking a few seconds to complete the survey. It helps me to be able to operate STATter911.com.

I’ve been getting a few questions about the surveys some of you see pop up on your screen on our stories (they don’t show on the home page). Right now we are testing this as a source of revenue for STATter911.com.

While I absolutely love publishing this website, it’s also a job I do seven days a week. There is no taking a vacation from it. So it does need to pay some of the bills at STATter911 World Headquarters.

This survey is the same one used on many, many news websites. It’s currently set so that if you follow through on one just survey, that computer and browser will not see another survey from STATter911 for two weeks.

Taking the surveys assists me in being able to continue to bring you the latest fire videos and news, as I have done for almost eight years. I’m hoping that making a few extra clicks every 14 days is something you wouldn’t mind doing in support of STATter911.
