KOVR-TV:

Two Modesto firefighters will be recognized at Tuesday’s City Council meeting for their role in rescuing two women from an apartment fire.

Jesse Miguel and Jason Wyatt rescued Tammy Dobbins and her mother from an apartment fire on Feb. 14. The early-morning fire trapped the women inside their home, leaving a second-floor bathroom window as their only way out. Neighbors had attempted to roll a dumpster up to the building for the women to jump, but firefighters arrived with a ladder and got them down safely.
