Tractor-trailer slams into Mississippi firehouse
In Brandon, Mississippi last (Thursday) night the driver of a tractor trailer suffered head injuries after losing control of his rig and crashing into and causing significant damage to the Langford Volunteer Fire Department.
The Rankin County Emergency Management Director says it appears the driver lost control, hit a ditch, and then hit the Langford Volunteer Fire Department.
No firefighters were hurt in the crash because nobody was inside the building at the time of the accident.
“It’s pretty devastating as far as that goes because we’re basically out of commission right now. It’s pretty bad. Never thought anybody would hit the side of this building at all,” Langford Volunteer Fire Chief Jonathan Baker said. The fire trucks from Langford have been taken to Flowood Fire Dept. for now.
