Two off-duty DC firefighters arrested for jumping & striking cops in pizza shop

Two D.C. firefighters punched, scratched and jumped on three police officers at a local pizza shop, according to court documents.
Courtney Barnes and Kimberly Gorham were both off-duty when they were asked to leave a pizza shop on Connecticut Ave. NW about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, according to court documents.
Justin Wm. Moyer, The Washington Post:
“I’m an EMT that works with y’all, and I hope that y’all take a bullet to the head because I’m not going to revive you!” Barnes said, according to a charging document.
Kimberly Gorham, another off-duty firefighter who fire officials said joined the department in 2016, punched one officer in the neck and scratched another, the documents said.
A third person allegedly involved in the altercation, Berick A. Barkley of Northwest Washington, was also arrested after attempting to punch an officer, the documents said.

DC Fire and EMS members Courtney Barnes and Kimberly Gorham were both off-duty when they were arrested and charged with Simple Assault / Assault on a Police Officer following an altercation with law enforcement early Sunday morning, July 14 , 2019.
Both members have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal proceedings.
Firefighter Courtney Barnes joined the Department on 04/30/07. He was assigned to Engine Company 23 on the 2nd Platoon at the time of his arrest.
Firefighter Kimberly Gorham joined the Department on 9/19/16. She was assigned to Engine Company 23 on the 3rd Platoon at the time of her arrest.
