Two firefighters from New Tripoli Fire Company killed during Pennsylvania house fire

The firefighters became trapped during a Wednesday afternoon fire in Schuylkill County. Resident of home found in woods dead from suicide.

The two firefighters killed this afternoon are reported by local news as being from the New Tripoli Fire Company in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. They were on a fire in Schuylkill County.

The Morning Call:

Two firefighters died Wednesday while battling a house fire in West Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County, and a third person was found dead from a gunshot wound.

Two firefighters from New Tripoli were pulled from the structure and taken to ambulances. They were pronounced dead at 6:10 p.m. in St. Luke’s Hospital-Miners Campus in Coaldale.

According to authorities, a resident of the house was found in woods behind the structure, dead from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.
