On June 1, 2014 at approximately 0340 hours, the Burbank Fire Department (BFD) responded to a reported house fire on Mesa Verde Drive. Upon arrival, BFD found a well established fire which had begun in the attached first floor garage and extended to the second floor and attic of the home. BFD personnel conducted search/rescue, exposure, ventilation, fire attack and salvage operations. The fire was mitigated at 0445 hours. There were no injuries to any sworn or civilian personnel. Damage to the structure was estimated at $500,000 and the cause and origin of the fire are currently under investigation. The Burbank Police Department assisted on the incident with crowd and traffic control.
