Arson in Middletown. Frederick County, MD Homes Were Under Construction.

Two boys, 11 and 12 year old, have been charged with arson. The fire, Tuesday afternoon, burned two homes under construction on Wagon Shed Lane in Middletown, Maryland. The motive, according to investigators, is vandalism.

Three alarms were sounded, bringing more than 50 firefighters to the scene. The homes were about a month away from completion. Investigators say there was an attempted arson at a third home in the development. The boys have been released to the custody of their parents.

These pictures were taken by neighbor Julie Marcoux. The first three in the series were shot in the minutes before the arrival of the first firefighters from Frederick County.
