The body count: Firegeezer has picked up and run with the theme of a few public safety folks who have overlooked a few bodies. Now he has the story of first responders in Kansas City, MO that had the body, but apparently missed a important clues that this was not a natural death. It took the funeral home to point out there were three bullet holes in the dead man and that the wounds might have had more to with the man’s demise than the blood pressure medication nearby. Making strange bedfellows: This isn’t a sex story. Just politics. On the surface it is in an interesting choice as to who the IAFF local in Boca Rotan, Florida picked in a council race. Read the story.

Four Maryland counties fight house fire: That isn’t all that unusual considering the fire was in Laurel, MD, which is located within spitting distance of Prince George’s, Montgomery, Howard and Anne Arundel. Laurel VFD has some pictures of the Saturday blaze on Fourth Street. Click here.
