Early video above and more video below from Skipper Media of a house fire last Wednesday (December 17) on Carmalt Street in Dickson City, Pennsylvania (Lackawanna County). News coverage here.

While the fire raged, nearly 100 firefighters swarmed around the scene and kept steady streams of water on flames that appeared to go out but then flared up again in first- and second-story rooms.

Crews found “lots of fire” in the basement of the home, according to the fire chief, with flames and heat threatening the homes on either side of 1010 Carmalt St.

“It spread quickly,” (Dickson City Fire) Chief Chowanec said. “We were kind of playing hide and seek with the flames.”
