On March 11th 2015 at 3:30pm Mt Olive Dispatch sent out city wide tones for the possible structure fire on Springdale Terrace, the first due area for Budd Lake. Upon arrival, Car 52 observed a 1.5 story single family home, with smoke pushing from the eaves. A 2nd Alarm was struck for station coverage and for a RIC team to the scene. Engine 53 arrived and hand stretched to the hydrant, and layed a 1 3/4″ line through the front door. The fire was found in the rear of the structure and was knocked within minutes. Units remained on scene for approximately 3 hours for extensive overhaul and an investigation. The cause is still under investigation.
