Fire crews are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out at Hurwich Farms Apartments in South Bend Friday afternoon.  The complex is off Portage north of Cleveland.

The call came in shortly after 1:00pm.  No one was injured in the fire, but the South Bend Fire Chief says five apartments were destroyed.  Several other apartments were damaged by smoke and water.
